Have a countdown clock. There are some pretty cool websites out there that allow you to create a countdown clock, no matter what you wish to countdown to. This may be fun for the more technologically savvy or older braces wearer.
Have a countdown calendar. Instead of just crossing out days on a regular old calendar, try making your own personalized calendar. There are online customization services that will allow you to upload pictures, images, and designs, making your monthly countdown more fun.
Make a chain. While this may not seem like fun for the older braces wearer, this may a good idea for younger children. By creating a paper chain with each strip, or link, representing a day, you can make counting down more fun for your child by removing a chain each day.
Work towards a goal and get rewarded. Who doesn’t love having a goal with a reward once you reach that goal? This is perfect for anyone wearing braces, young or old, making wearing braces a little less miserable. Simply by reaching a monthly goal, you can earn a special treat for the time and effort you have put in to your healthier and happier smile.
Make a friend. When you know someone else that is experiencing the same things you are, not only does it make time go by faster, but it makes the experience itself a little more fun. Celebrating your removal day is better when spent with friends and family, especially ones that understand what you have been through!
